Ever since our little girl was teeny tiny, she'd wake up fairly early in the morning, around 5 or 6 AM. Since this was before we had to get up, I'd slip in to give her the pacifier and she'd go back to sleep for a little while. The last couple of weeks, well probably more like a month or more, she'd be standing up waiting for me to come in. The pacifier didn't do the trick anymore, so now she comes into bed with us until it's time to get up. This is okay as long as we are close to getting up, but it doesn't work very well when it happens at 3 or 3:30 in the morning! Little girl is a bed HOG.
We figured out that most of the time when she wakes up super early, something is bothering her, usually her teeth. A little TLC and a lullaby or two and she'll go back to bed.
The 6 AM wake ups, don't bother me too much because I enjoy getting to snuggle with her for the 30 minutes or so before hubby is out of the shower and ready to take over. Little girl doesn't want to snuggle with Mommy too much during the day anymore.
