Early in September, we planted 3 beautiful mums near our front door and in our front planter. One of them is doing okay, the other started to look bad right away, and something keeps trying to dig and/or eat the other one. AND it looks like something is eating the leaves off my roses. I think the local rabbits are eating the leaves of the roses, but I think it is a squirrel digging in the mums.
Dave and I were in the garage yesterday and saw a squirreled digging in our neighbor's grass for something, so it's not a stretch of the imagination to think they'd come over to our planters. i just wish I knew what they were digging for!
